Need a hood for a 1980

Guys
Is there atermarket company out there that makes a decent first gen hood? Because it is such a large part I am having difficulties finding and shipping one. So I am thinking if I can get a CF or fiberglass hood I may be better off.
Thanks

The first gen hoods are the same for 79-85 I'm pretty sure. I'm surprised you can't source one local.
Try a WTB ad in the south or midwest section (whatever Texas falls into).

you may also want to try car-part.com It is a junkyard directory and most places are willing to ship parts.

Shipping will be expensive. I just shipped a rear louver and it cost $180. A hood is a little bit bigger and weighs more.

I have a hood that has a few rust holes on the underside I'd sell cheap. Shipping would be cheaper through a place like ForwardAir. The only issue with ForwardAir is that you have to create the item and take it to them just to get a shipping price.

No, theres not enough volume like for a Civic for anyone to make money selling aftermarket hoods.
Mariah has some aireo stuff like wings and air dams and side skirts plus a wide body kit but thats about it.

Maybe in Japan you can find something but thats a whole another ballgame then.
