My surfboard car
So I've been trying to come up with a paint scheme that would be truely 70's and remembered my surfboard. Here's what I was thinking, sorry about stealing that one guy's pic, its just a really good shot. What do y'all think?

Stick with the 1st one!!!
Although i do like the Blue/Woody scheme too, but i think the roof would have to go a lighter color!
Also the rims stick out to much with the blue, they blend nice with the orange!
Cheers, Bender

I agree, the blue doesn't fit with the roof or the wheels. I need to work on the groovy part, being born in '82 doesn't help, I might mess it up with some TRON crap. j/k
What about a black vinyl top or just black paint or different color?

i like the 1 w/ wooden insert. if interested look at the manufactures of "thermofoil" materials for cabinets as a good quality "wood look like" prints. that material can be contour shaped with wide spread heat gun and its ultra thin. Install it with rubber (contact) cement, spray let dry and laminate. would recommend following the curve of the fender for a shape of the center insert and nose of the surfboard (not sure about double bump...well actually i see its relative to curve of the wheel). very nice idea overall never seen before. good luck

I'm definately staying with the orange, the wood grain is growing on me though the yellow is just like my board that I've had for 14 years.
If anyone knows anything about wood laminate, you would definately be the one drifted, nice work.
