My new bling 15x8 Kodiak Rims :)
Well they came in a few weeks ago but didn't have a chance to post them till now. As the title states they're 15x8 with about 4.5" backspace IIRC. I'll be tossing some toyo Porxies R888 rubber on there (225/45). Should be able to help me grip a bit better on the track

I would consider the Nitto NT01's rather than the R888. I have heard more favorable reviews and they cost about the same. The NT01s seem to keep their grip even when they heat up whereas the R888s loses grip after a few laps.
However since spec miata has dumped the R888 you can probably find a bunch of cheap used ones hanging around.

No they don't. I bought some locally though was about 25$ or so for 10 of them I think. I didn't get the exact size that they call for, they're a tad smaller (width wize) but still work. I bought them from a place called Carquest, but I'm sure Napa also carries them.

Nice Sam! These are the wheels you were talking about! I'll be interested to see how they look on the car. See the link in my signature, there are pictures of your car in there.

Wow. I'm very jealous. Those are going to look awesome.
I've heard good things about the NT01s as well, I've noticed more and more people running those, and less and less with triple eights.
Not trying to nit-pick, but Spec Miata tires are 205/50. Not that it matters.

You are right on the size. But if I could pick up for new/used or slightly used 205/50 R888 for about $200 I would sacrifice the grip over the $150 a piece 225 NT01s.
I have a set of 205/55/14 NT01s on my stock SE rims and they provide a good amout of grip, a huge improvement over the 195/60/14 Azenis I sometimes run. That said I am looking to move to some 15X8s with 225 NT01s.

We'll i've researched the NTO1 vs R888 for quite some time and from my understanding they both last just as long. Toyo owns Nitto and both those tires supposebly run the exact same rubber compound. I've met a few guys personally at the track with the R888 and they all love them. It seems that most people move over to the NT01's because they are slightly cheaper. I would run them too but I can't source anybody around me that would carry the Nitto tires. I could order them through an online source but after adding shipping and what not the R888 will be about 100$ cheaper or so.
