OH My Lt. Beige se

I love this pic. I know a lot of people don't like beige rx7s but this pic makes it look so good. Just thought I'd share.

My Lt. Beige se-rx7-061.jpg

It has 54K miles now. I've replaced the oil cooler, radiator, brake MC, some windshield trim and door seals, the moonroof crank, door cups, speakers and amp and a brand new antenna.

Looks clean and original. Beige is under rated.

I never really liked the beige until I saw it in person. But it quickly grew on me. I bought it from a Honda dealership that was asking almost $10k for it. I kept offering them $6k and after 5 months or so, they finally sold it to me. Sitting in the summer sun didn't do it any good but it's still nice with the low miles. Now I'm looking for a 79 with low miles. I am a fanatic.

Good luck on the SA hunt. Low mileage is nice, but don't let it stop you from looking at a higher-mileage SA too. Its really all about the Owner. Patience, they are out there. Unless there is some particular hard-on for a 79, I humbly submit an 80 SA is more/better. Same great style, electronic ignition and some minor trim enhancements. Plus it opens up the field of choice a bit too...

….on the other hand:

Lack of sunroof would be a deal-killer for me, but this might tick off all the right boxes if an inspection backs it up. Getting a car from an original owner is GOLD…

79 rear...

80 rear...
Notice the two square rubber bits below the license plate.

79 interior... (this is quite a fancy color scheme (and rare I might add). Most are offered in black, wine, and brown. Some have 2 tone schemes, plaid, blue and gray inserts etc

80 interior ... Most are offered in black, wine, and brown. Some have 2 tone schemes, plaid, blue and gray inserts etc. Notice the chrome door handle cups, the thin chrome dash trim is different, the lettering on the AC/radio console is different, the console trim is charcoal as opposed to black, chrome lip around the shifter, 85 MPH speedo, no speaker dash. Rear cargo trim is different.

I'm in negotiations for this 79 gs

It has under 15000 miles. has not been started for 20 years or more. Garaged its entire life. The seats have been covered since new. I haven't seen it in person yet but I'm told it is like new except the engine, two small rock chips and the bottom trim on the windshield is fading. Don't want to get my hopes up too much but it could be a great find or not.

I love the beige. It was my first 85. And my current SE is also beige.
