My first Rx7
Picked up this first gen the other day from my stepdad. Only 109,000 miles on it. Owned by a woman before us and has all the reciepts from anything done to the car. I've still got a lot of work to do to the car before it's how I want it, but just showing off right now.

That's what im gonna do. Throw on an exhaust, fix the carb so the secondaries open up, and probably do an HID conversion. After that just run it how it is.

Yes I'm a so called "resto-mod" guy. I keep the stock wheels and look, so it looks stock, but do swaybars, shocks and springs, exhaust, and all that. But as far as body kits, airdams, wheels, spoilers, aftermarket stuff, I avoid that.
One thing I'd suggest is doing 205-60-13 tires next time you need tires, they make a big difference. Great find there.

Nice find and good luck with it!
My car had a similar story and I too need to do my exhaust. I'll probably have a custom system made up instead of buying one though because they get pretty expensive. I'd recommend doing a header, pre silencer, catalytic converter, and a good looking muffler and tailpipe on the end. I'm sure these guys can give you their opinions as well. This set up will give me a better sounding car, as well as a little more power with increased exhaust flow. MPG's would help to
