My first 7

83 GSL. Bought this quite a while ago, but i havent had any opportunities to work on it until know. My buddy that i bought it from just rebuilt the carb, and set it in, but i need to hook it up and bolt it down still. Otherwise, a fresh battery and fluids and it SHOULD be running.

Shes in really rough shape, but for $500, Im pleased with it. 200k original miles, never rebuilt, and apparently was still going pretty damn strong 5 years ago when it got garaged until i got my hands on it. Theres a few little rusty spots on the body, but nothing structural, and the only really noticable bit in on the fender which im gonna cut out to make widebody anyways.

In the process of gutting and replacing the interior, and then more serious work begins. Gonna overhaul the brake system, after 5 years sitting im betting it needs new struts (it sits looow), and try to clean out the engine bay. Once thats all handled, new wheels, some sort of body work (im thinking the mariah), fancy window cover things and rear viser-oid dealiodoohickie

Those things, like you see on old fastbacks

and the rear visory thing

gonna shoot for tan interior, and HoK candy tangerine on the outside.

Anyways, here she is, currently

Rotting seats, not sure if this pic is allowed cause its ...vulgar...?

And gutting the interior!

The Hatch struts are SHOT

Ill keep you guys posted as it comes along!

Called "louvers;" you see them for sale once in a blue moon in the Parts forum. You can buy new ones from Black Dragon, but they are plastic; I personally prefer the original aluminum ones.

That sir, is the word I'm looking for. I might need to build a hatch for this, I love the molded look of them like the Mariah, but need to maintain the space back there
