Michigan 2 day Meet/Autocross
When is the next Furrin group event after this one? I want to take my dad autocrossing for father's day (he's never been).

I believe the next event is mid-June. Take a look at www.furrin.org

Wow! Holy turnout batman!!!
I think we were running close to 20% of the field being rotary powered! 1st gens, 2nd gens/TIIs, RX8s (but no FDs). I don't have the official listing yet, but I believe we had about an even dozen on Saturday, maybe more.
Out of all those rotaries, the fastest one around the course was running a Sterling Carb.
The bad news, my Porsche free streak has been ended by a highly modified 911. And the prepared Miata on race rubber with a drive much more experienced than me proved to be 2/10ths of a second faster than my girl on Sumitomos.
The good news, everybody had a blast and we had no negative incidents of any sort. Also, I got to beat up on a Viper and plenty of other very nice cars.
We've got a buttload of pictures and video to work with, so I'll post up some eye candy when I get a chance.
But here's a little bit of a teaser from what I've got available right this minute:

Okay, I don't have the time to re-size every photo, so here's a link to the club's photo album. Lots of pics from the event here:

Yes, he sure did! He even beat a car or two in his class, which is pretty amazing I think. I've got video of two of his runs, but no photos. I'll put the videos up on Youtube when I get a chance, its worth a look for sure.

Finally got a couple of my videos up. Unfortunately of the 12 total timed runs over the 2 days I was only able to get 2 videos. The camera was acting up the other times.
