ID MazdaSpeed 3 owners are annoying.

ok so normally I don't really like to rant like this about mazdas but Everyday I see MS3 owner and they rev and they do a ricer flyby on me is this normal for mazdas to be hating on each other.?

anyways to my point I really hate when I'm driving and there will be a MS3 driver coming up on me notice my mazda badge and do flybys on me and just plain in general rev their engines at me.

I know I only have an old 83 non turbo fb with a stock 12A and almost nothing on the motor but anymore of this mazda on mazda abuse and i'm gonna go turbo and teach them snobby jerks a lesson or die trying.

any thoughts on this subject you guys have any MS3 or MS6 users who pick on you cause of your older sports style do they rev their engines at you excessively? and do ricer flybys? tell me about it. and how would you handle this situation?

I don't think so maybe to a 110 hp sports car that seems fast but I think even low boost on a non ported 12a could either keep up or beat them depends on the driver I guess but these guys its non stop everyday.

I'm telling you this mazda on mazda crime is making me kinda sick and I think I need them to understand and the only way is to finish my turbo build asap by next spring and show those fools.

You wouldn't show them anything...

My ms3 pulls hard on my t2 and it's not stock either. Time isn't kind to old technology.

Have you considered that maybe you are misreading the kiddies? Happens to me in other 'modified' Mazdas when I'm out in the rx7. To them you are a lot more recognizable as a mazda fan than the chick in the Mazda6. I've yet to have one not just want to ask questions, look at the car or just have a friendly go...

Let's not get carried away here...there peppy at best... A nice little car with some get up and go

I ran my 20+year old fd all stock except shitty 3" catback And 5yr old tires in the 1/4 13.93
my 2buddies 2008.5 each one was full stage 3 (ran 13.98best) and the other stage 2(ran 14.22best)
both of them make over 300hp/tq to the wheels

Highway rolls they would win but from a dig I'd take them every time

I think you are missing the point of driving "a classic". I don't worry about being able to keep up with or out run the newer technology. To do that, would mean modifying the car which (to me) kind of defeats the purpose of owing an older car to begin with. I may be a little slower but I feel, I have something THEY don't and thats a cool old car.

I put my efforts into making my car(s) as nice & polished as I can while retaining their originality. Do this and I'd bet they will be jealous of you. As you get older you learn to appreciate things for different reasons.

^Ditto what Banzai said. You've got a classic car, appreciate it for what it is.

As for brand loyalty, I don't think most Mazda3 owners know what a rotary is. And I bet Cobalt drivers don't give "the wave" to Camaro and Corvette drivers.

no I'm pretty sure they are doing it to heckle me and my old sports car. now I have said this before and I wouldn't doubt if they owned a Honda at one time and probably raced me when I still had my 2nd gen N/A.

even now most hondas won't rev at me or even try to pick a fight with me anymore cause they know last time I was driving something with an all 8k range driver mods was all I needed and 2 gears to use 1st and 2nd.

trust me no one has anything better to do but heckle old sports cars hell even the rx8's around here don't respect the rx7 very much only a couple know or understand anything about the cars others just drive it cause it was cool.

no I do appreciate my car whether it gives me a hard time with something I can't figure out right away or not.

but I just don't think people understand that even old sports cars can still compete with these newer sports cars.

I do enjoy it when I go out into the country and take a winding road and I feel good behind the wheel when I know my car can handle the curves with a little extra speed.

now maybe in the winter time its not so great with my no lsd but hell I find a way to make it fun.

also if your a chevy guy there's a group for that here so they kinda almost do.

Some fd owners and definitely RX-8 owners are the same thing so i always **** with them when I'm driving my RX-3. For some reason, they feel superior lol.

At the light, the loud brap brap brap and whole car shaking (due to solid engine and tranny mounts) gets their attention. But definitely, SA, FB and FC owners are cool. As far as the old schoolers (RX and non-RX owners) , we always give a thumb up to each other all the time.

I took my wife to the Mazda dealer to look at CX-5's when she was shopping crossovers last spring.

The Mazda salesman had not a clue as to what an RX-7, nor a rotary, was. He was also about 12 years old.

Wife ended up with a Santa Fe Sport 2.0T.

Those who do not learn from their company's history are doomed to get no commission from me.

Most of the very young guys that are driving speed3 are not Mazda people they just bought a car because of the #'s it will do. And its cheaper than an Evo or STI . Unfortunately the Speed3 is this decades Neon SRT, I sold my 07 Speed3 this spring so I could keep my Miata and 2 Rx7's, because I didn't want to be identified with the speed3 crowd it also help me buy an F-250 with the cash. When I go to trackdays or the occasional cars and coffee I do get a lot of people checking out My SA and/or want a ride in it. And at autox's my car is faster than most of the Speed3/6's

Over here in the bay area of florida, we have car meets and the mazda 3 guys park alongside us with the rotaries from rx2's 7's and 8's.
Everybody gets along and admires each other cars and mods.
Dont let them get to you, beep the horn and wave to them, if they can tell theyre getting to you they wont stop

Most of my friends are car people we call the owners of Mazdas Meeps instead of peeps. And if anyone ever needs a hand working on there cars we all work together, doesn't matter what you drive, 3,5,6 ,rx7,8, Miata, Protégé we all have them. One of my friends just bought a Speed6 and has now owned every Mazda Speed vehicle.

Haha so so true!

That's just a car thing. People saw my 7 and they'd troll on by at WOT.

Hell, a guy in a Duramax smoked at me just because he felt like it. It's common up here.

The only people who check my car out are classic muscle guys and retired mechs. Once in a while i get offers from some of them for it bu i know they wanna V8 swap it.

Very seldom do newer generation muscle kids ask and want a ride in it buts funny muscle car guys dont really talk **** until you do.

Also i live in burley idaho land of when f&f came out ricers popped up with bodykits and exhaust mods and nothing else. Still hasnt changed.
