Mariah Hood Insert vs. Mariah Hood
I am wondering, does anyone have experience with molding in the Mariah fiberglass hood insert into the steel hood? With the work that is required it is better just get the full hood? While searching this I noticed a forum member had a molded hood and sold it then turned around and purchased a full fiberglass hood. Is there any issues with cracking with bonding this to the steel hood?

That would be me.
The stock hood with the scoop was great. If I could go back I would have kept it. I picked up the fiberglass hood because from the pics, I thought the ridges on the front end were vents. When I received it, the damage was a bit more than I got from the pics as well. It still does not fit perfectly, bows up on the corners near the windshield. The mounting points are also slightly off so the fitment at the headlights is not perfect.
I have never seen a new fiberglass hood, so not sure if the fitment issues would be the same.
Price difference, $125 for the scoop, vs $840 for the hood. I'd consider selling my hood for half the price and picking up the scoop, modifying my old stock hood.
There were no issues with cracking on the steel, but that would depend on the guy doing the work.
