Whoa what a bunch of flametards.

Welcome to the forums - have fun slamming the beast! And dont worry, the locals wont let up their flaming until you drink the cool aid.

I'm doing a slammed project over the winter here, but other projects must get done first!

The cars posted on the first page are the best examples of well done slamjobs that I know of. The team giletto car is really inspiring to me, after seeing only pictures of it I decided to get back in an FB!

As has already been mentioned, RE-Speed was/has been a great source for FB suspension, and Granny's speed shop for V-swaps. However I sadly cannot currently recommend RE-Speed as they seem to be having fabrication issues and are currently not fulfilling orders. Keep an eye on the thread "re-speed lack of communications" in the bad vendor section.

A few things I will note:

1) i would LOVE to see some actual data behind the wives tale of v-swaps horibly throwing off the balance or weight of the car and making you a horrible person worthy of ridicule .... I'm talking drag time slips, circuit track times, auto-x times before/after, dyno prints, etc.

Keep in mind that the diff between a base SA22C and a GSL-SE is about 162 pounds, with only 25 more HP to push it. Its not unreasonable to get 250-300hp @ 22-26 mpg out of a decent v6 or v8 with roughly 180-220lbs weight gain.

A person should put whatever dam engine in whatever car they want. Sheesh

2) slammed and stretched is awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is completely entitled to their (wrong) opinion

3) it's teh internets ppl - do u rly expect scholarly grammar with APA references for every post?

Hope you find your sense of humor someday.

Mods, can you move this post into the https://www.rx7club.com/v-8-powered-rx-7s-299/ forum where it belongs?
