Question Looking for a source of defroster grills for 1st gen RX-7

The defroster grills on the dash of my 1980 RX-7 are decomposing and falling apart. These are the ones at the rear of the dash at the base of the windshield that cover the defroster outlet (not the round ones in the face of the dash). While the dash is in very good shape these parts just have not held up as well. I have looked all over the web (Black Dragon, Mazda Trix, etc) and cannot find a source for these specific grills. Does anyone know of a source for these parts? Appreciate any help.

If you post a "wanted ad" on the site, a member may have a set from some parted out car. Or Apex Auto or Rotary Restrorations deal in Rx-7 parts and may be able to provide a pair.

Have you tried Mazda yet? May be all gone but every once in a while an odd part will turn up still in stock. Worth a phone call, at least.

According to the parts fiche, official name is "Grille," part number is 8341-60-713-XX, where XX is 01 for black, 11 for wine, 23 for 'early' brown, and 28 for 606775 & up cars with sunroofs.
