Nice find! They did have a (rare) blue color but I think the brown interiors mostly were installed in the yellow cars. If this was not orginally blue, it's a very thorough re paint! What's the paint code say? From the sun faded look of the rear inner wheel covers, I wonder what it looked like before the new shinny blue. Looks like the door pannels have been worked a little and the seat covers look to have too many pleats to be stock too, which makes me wonder what else has been massaged? Not that thats a bad thing, at least some one cared enough to keep her fixed up. Looks like a nice survivor that might be mechanicall pretty good too.
If she starts and runs good, I'd say somewhere in the 2-3K range. This is an early production "78" car which makes it more desirable in my book, but not quite original. Recently, nice orginal and mechanical sound cars like this seem to generate interest around the 5-6K range, slightly higher for exceptional ones. Does he have the orginal paperwork and documentation too? It all needs to be factored in to the value equation.

In High Point? I remember working at as a consultant at the Thomas Built Bus plant there and I can't imagine something that mint looking running around there.
How much are they asking?

Here is a link to an identical one that I brokered the deal for back in 2006 this might give you some idea as to the value of this one.
Look about halfway down the page you will find my post with pictures and information.
It was purchased from the original owner by the dealer who originally sold it they still have the car today. Car had 75k miles, built in 6/78, all papers, original paint.
The sales price in 2006 was $5,000

yeah the seats have been redone, they are too nice to be original.
door panels maybe too, look at how faded the window crank handle is vs everything else.
small potatoes though, the car looks great, and 7/78 is still old enough to be full of win

a Daytona Blue SA in any condition is a good find. this one is a GREAT find! upholstry work aside (definatly the seats and door panels are refurbished as j9fd3s stated) and a repaint the car is very original. the repaint and upholstry only add to the car's current value. i say jump on this collector car!

Looks like the AC is being charged up in the photos. I think nice new paint and upholstery is a plus. All I would do is upgrade the points ignition and buy new window cranks, door cups, and fix the faded wheel well covers.
Yes, what happened? This is an early build and rare color. Just appears a little rough around an edge or two, but still very nice. A good addition to anyone inclined to collect SA's.

i understand but this is near a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a 7 like this. daytona blue is a very rare color and overall its a very nice 7! a 7 like that imo, is worth at least 5K or better. well worth the investment if you ask me.
