Latest Autocross video.... WOW I am revving it!

Well on my project cheap autocross, I recently added Panasport wheels, and short Hoosier A6 tires. I also changed the exhaust to a quiet RB Streetport exhaust.

I really did not realize how high I was spinning the motor up to until I watched this video... On some straights, I dumped the tach! Maybe I need to catch another gear in the future!!

What is funny.... most people bitch about that venue being too small!!!! In fact a lot of the Texas CP cars will not even show up because of the "lack of space"

LOL.... I guess things really are bigger in Texas!

That's huge compared to the lot I would usually race on. I think the one we had was maybe 200 feet wide and 800 long. Maybe. Made for some super small courses.

Cool... we might start autocross racing at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown next year. That should be pretty close for you.

Man I wish you guys in other parts of the states and Canada had big places to autocross. In central Texas, I race at Texas A&M with their sports car club. The event is set up on an old air force base. The "actual" course is about 40 ACRES big!!!! The course can seem to go forever!!

Here is a link to a race their. This is back when I had old tires and a loud exhaust!!! Enjoy! Still about a 90 second course!!

Well, ya see there are places that run large courses . But i'd have to drive at least two hours for it. The local events ( About 40 minutes out) Are run by really cool dudes that drive bad-*** cars. I've earned 7 trophies so far. Four first places, and three runner-ups. One of the events i've done was on an old Navel test run-way in PA. That place was huge and I actaully got a chance to use third gear. Can't wait I get my Fc together. I'd be the only rotary on the course in the local events.
