Just bought 1983 gsl, need some input
I picked up a completely rust free 1983 gsl. Engine has 107,000 miles on it. Sounds good, no smoke. interior is so-so normal bad dash cover, and a few other minor things. Well I got the car for $500.00! Reason is he bent an axle and car is primered. After getting the bent axle out I noticed he bent the end housing flange and caliper ear broke off. Therefore needs complete rearend housing. So I also have a complete (With brakes, tires and rims) Gsl-se rear end I kept from a scrap car in shed. I am goin to just swap that into car. And guys, laying under that car tonite was nice. no rust anywhere!
So car needs paint and a driver fender maybe (crinkled a little). Car is complete and everything is there. Going to try and sell car for $1500.00 - $1800.00 and I am throwing in a set of SE front spindles. U guys think that is a fair price? Hell I might even throw in my extra driveshafts, and all the other misc. stuff I have.
One more thing, I can swap my 84 SE pumpkin with the 83 gsl pumpkin and keep the Se axles in it right? Reason is I think the SE and Gsl have different driveshafts and also I was told the SE pumpkin was "noisy"
