Interior Build 84 FB

I bought an 84. The seller was between a grey and burgundy interior swap. I have enough parts for either interior, but only a grey dashboard.

Is it easier/cheaper to find a burgundy dash or to refinish the existing grey dash burgundy?

Thanks!

Both are readily available and priced about the same if the parts are in nice shape. Burgundy seems to sell for a little less as it discolors easier and may need to be re-dyed.

the Gray seems to hold up better. the red seems more dated, although if its the right exterior color, in a good way. silver with red, or white with red are really classic color combos

the RH sunrise red exterior with the red interior is IMO, not great, the two colors clash, IMO of course

ive seen some unusual factory combinations over the years too, so pick what you like

I agree.

If I go burgundy inside I'm going black outside.

I use to have a black over burgundy in 91; liked it a lot.

I don’t see a lot of dashboards in any color for sale, not a lot of rx7’s in my wrecking yards though... but burgundy and grey parts seem to be the most available. So I think either color wouldn’t be hard to finish.

If you do go grey, I’d like to maybe buy some of the burgundy parts you have! Dm me or whatever...

Will do.

I've got 90% of the burgundy interior, including leather seats, just no dash.

I've, also, got 80% of the grey interior, just no seats or door panels.

So, I either need (or need to redo what I have), a burgundy dash; or, grey seats and door panels.

Or, I strip my (grey interior) 85 for its dash and parts...not preferred.

What ever is left goes on the block.
