Ah, gotcha. Your solution is what I have right now - the wire for the sensor is grounded to the core support.

Realistically the sensor is a very simple part. I would imagine that it would be a relatively easy thing to manufacture if anyone really wanted too. It's basically just a wire in an insulating thread after all.

I have another suggestion for a part to replicate. These clips attach the center rubber strip to the rear bumpers on SA's. They are NLA and the original ones have become pretty brittle by now. Anyone re doing a bumper will undoubtedly run into a need for these. Eight clips per bumper. I can send you a couple to scan.

Sure thing. Snap fit components are the most fiddly to reproduce but I'd be happy to model them up and add them to the list, although I can't say what the turn around would be.

Are those for both 79 and 80? I seem to recall that the bumper trim mounted slightly differently between the two years. Either way my rear trim strip is missing so I've love to try remaking these.

As an aside, I've thought about picking up a small injection molding machine to remanufacture parts like these with small snap fit components (small 3D printed parts don't like to be bent much given the nature of the layers and all). There are UV curable resins available that can work for short run injection molds of a few hundred components, so in theory it would be possible to MSLA print the molds and then use injection molding for the actual parts. That's an investment of a couple grand though, so I don't expect to be doing that for quite some time unless I stumble on a crazy deal. Just musing for now.

Same design should fit both years. The front is different. Front uses a thin metal strip w/6mm threaded studs. Rear uses these plastic clips to attach the thin metal strip w/rubber trim.
