YES, also, sick body work+paint. Few things are more badass than an IMSA widebody. Very nice.

Its has

Ported t-2 motor and tranny, microtech, etc

Re speed coilovers, panhard bar, etc

Directfreak: the only thing i painted were the door panels, and the middle is covered in suede

As stated i have a few items to go, but its like 90% there, its a rough ride for the street as the suspension is pretty much setup like the race cars. I only drive it a few times a month.

One thing missing is a nice turbo and manifold, i have a hybrid stock turbo on there now.

i am thinking a GT-35 as i want low rpm boost, any suggestions

more pics

Here are 2 more. I had hip surgery earlier this year so the car was sitting for awhile. I plan to finish it the next couple of months. Notice my emergency brake, lol(one of the few things to do)

Also i have 2 front fenders brand new for sale like the ones on my car if someone wants them. I am not going to use them

drive

It drives great a little rough as it has 300lb springs on the back and the 315 tire does not help.

What you do notice is the tremendous downforce the car has on the highway. It sticks to the road. The body kit on it is no joke, they raced it for a few years like 79-83 then went to wider front and different flair on the back.

Its actually functional not the BS bodykits people put on cars these. I have friend who raced in the 70s and 80s .

Its funny he saw the car and started explaining to me about body kit. The wing does not extend past the back bumper do to IMSA regulations. I remember watching them race as a kid.

Mazda rulled GTU from 79-86 with the 1st gen

I might be interested in selling my car. Please see some details below.

Exterior:

Rust free 85 GSL-SE
Dave Kent early imsa body kit(used mainly from 1980-1983)
Flawless paint 6k

Motor/Drive train

Ported/Pinned T-2 Motor
Microtech LT4
Hybrid Turbo
MSD ignition
Large Slant Intercooler
Racing beat muffler and silencer
T-2 tranny with custom driveshaft

Suspension/Wheels

RE speed coil over front and rear 180/280 lb springs
Tokico 5 way all around
Panhard bar welded in.
Strut bar
Racing beat sway bar
T-2 front brakes
CCW 17*12 r, 17/9 f 315’s out back

Interior

Original gray interior with custom door panels
New carpet
All panels covered in suede or material
Brand new Corbeau Seats
Auto power roll bar
Interior shows new

The car is really nice. All mods done tastefully and no cutting corners. The only thing I would change would be the turbo and manifold(more power), but drives great now.

Looking to do a Porsche 911 retro project, so I am thinking about selling. Will list in the for sale section later with price, if anyone is interested please PM me. No trades, want to sell outright. If you know these cars and whats done to it, its not cheap to build a car like this. Car is garage kept(of course)

You know with the Re-speed coilovers you can fix that rough ride issue easily. I hate rough riding cars but want good handling. I have Re-Speed coilovers and anti-sway bar with softer springs and with a couple of little mods to perfect to suspension geometry (roll center) it out handles many more stiffly sprung cars.

Yeah, you really over did it with the spring rates for a car that will see the roads. Run softer springs (150/275), but balance it with nice swaybars (I run the Respeed up front, 3 point adjustable on rear). That will get you great handling, without the bruised kidneys to go with it.

What I described above is my setup, which totally kicks *** on the autocross course. But I can still drive it to work everyday, take it down south to Georgia and the Carolinas every year, etc.

Might be something worth considering.
