2500 for 137k ...i know it's an SE but....what condition is the car in?....anything done to it?... imo it seems a bit overpriced for some reason, that may just be me tho, not trying to discourage you cuz they're cool cars either way.....i think owners try to jack up the prices on the SE models a lot, i found one one time it was in ok interior but definitely needed some work and great exterior condition of course a few age spots here in there, nothing some fresh paint wouldn't fix, the engine had about 5k miles, and he was asking about 5500 for it...i thought it was a bit overpriced

Nice find, nice color and it's an SE! Good SE's go for $5000+. Is the brown interior velor or leather? Let's see the pics!

And welcome to the club!

Ray

PS here's my White One, which is now my favorite color:

I paid $2800 for my 105k mile all original GSL-SE (red/black) in excellent condition. Although a week later, the clutch went out.

Get some pics when you get it! Welcome to the SE club!

When I went to first look at my car, the owner was asking $3500. Couldn't buy it then, but I came back about 3 months later, and looked at it again. Decided to offer him $3000 then he jewed HIMSELF down to $2800, it was the easiest negotiation I've ever done. To me, its worth every penny. I love this damn car.

Nice buy! As far as price ranges, IMO it comes down to more than just the visible condition of the car. I just bought my 83 GSL for $2000. Was from original owner who still had every reciept and maintenance documents from the day he bought it. He even had the window sticker saved describing the options what not that was on the window the day he bought it. Every single document that had to do with that car he had saved and given to me in a manilla folder. The way he talked about it (u could tell he put hin soul into it) paired with the great condition of the car was enough to sell me on it. Some would say $2000 is a bit high, to me its well worth knowing where the car has been and how it was cared for. Price is relative to the value (sentimental as well) one places on the item purchased.

I think these cars are amazing buys really. You are getting a genuine classic that is both unique and cool, for an amazingly low price. I'd rather have my 7 then any classic muscle car, and it cost 1/10th an average muscle car.

Well it certainly means something when you can only afford a $4000 at most car like me.

ok, so i got the car, sorry but no pics yet

k so some issues, it's not quite as rust free as was mentioned, but as far as i can tell there is only 1 real area(but it's bad, right behind the passanger rear wheel, but not the wheel well, i guess it's the lower rear rocker pannel) other than that there isn't any other rust.
- it runs great but the engine bay is filthy, and i probably need a new stock intake, as it is kind of rusty
-but back to the point besides it being filthy it runs awesome, and is so much more powerful than my 82, besides a couple little things it's a brilliant thing

I think if the clock doesnt work, in combination with the dimmer not working, you have a bad fuse. Dimmer switch might be bad. Take it out and connect the two wires. Should illumate if I remember right. Wait for someone to verify this.
