I was at the mazda museum a few days ago in hiroshima and I ran into a turbo'd FB. I took pictures of it because I wasnt sure if this was rare or not.

We got the GSL-SE with the N/A 13B. In Japan, the people all want the SE 13B because they didn't get it, and we want the 12A Turbos that are common there, so if you can find someone in Japan who wants to trade, and speaks English, you could probably each pay for the shipping fo the other engine and trade him a Series 3 13B and crossmember?

I beleive 84-85 it was known as the GT, overseas and had a 12AT.
They were never available in the states, however a few of the motors have made there way over. If you are real lucky you can still find one in good condition.

We got them in Australia too.
There are a few original unmolested versions for sale on www.ausrotary.com now and then.
They are a very nice car with nice smooth strong power rather than kick in the pants sudden power.
This is probably the best example we had for sale a while ago in Australia: http://ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=171900
Note the factory boost guage below the tacho...
