Help Needed in Albuquerque, NM
Thanks for the offer. I don't know if you saw my intro or not, but I have a '79 GS with 39,000 original miles. It obviously doesn't get used very much. When I started it the other day the engine was running rough, like it's out of tune.
I don't know if it's electrical, such as distributor or plug wires (the plugs are relatively new - probably 200 miles or so), or if it's carburetor related. I'm not much of a mechanic, but I'm willing to give it a shot because right now I don't think it is drivable.
The car was running fine the last time I used it, which was about 2 weeks ago.
Again, thanks for the help.

Could use a little better description of the problem...
1. How long have YOU owned the car?
2.You stated, car ran well a couple of weeks ago...Have you done any work between now and then?
3. What kind of maintenance history has the car had?
4. Do you own a service manual?
More info always helps....Can you get the car fully warmed up? And if so, does the problem go away.
I would always start with a fuel issue....when was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Never.....change your filter then.
