I have found a 79 car with 26k miles here in Ohio. It has been stored all but the last two years and is in great shape. I am, however, in need of a new gas tank. Anybody got one? Know where I can get one?

These will be tough to find. Well worth dropping the tank and see if someone locally can patch it up. Even so it will need to be cleaned and re-lined internally to remove/seal what ever may be built up inside. Good first stop, if its salvageable, tis a rad shop with a chem-dunk tank that can do a thorough cleaning to start with.
Post some pix of your car here and get the Thread rolling then you can qualify to post a WTB (Want to Buy) request in the 1st Gen Parts for Sale sub-forum...

Obviously I am new here and really only wanted to get a discussion going. I have the tank out and will be taking it to a rad shop today.

Definitely take the tank to a shop and have it professionally cleaned and pressure tested. It will be much easier to do that rather than try and find a good one used. From now on however, all want to buy ads you wish to create will have to be posted in the classifieds section. Welcome to the forum!
