I just bought my first 1983 RX-7 as a project car and needs a good bit of work and I'm stuck on the gas tank. The previous owner left it sitting for 5 months with half a tank of gas in it and gummed up the tank and rusted the bath welds. Is it possible to buy a whole new gas tank? Where could I get one? Also, would I have to get a fuel pump as well?

 

Take it to a radiator shop and they will take care of it. They will clean the sht out of it and if needed seal it. Cleaned for 65, cleaned and sealed for 150. I know this is old, this info is for the next jack wagon searching gas tank.
