Headlight upgrade kit

In case anyone is still running the stock headlights. There is a OEM Toyota part for FJ60s and replace the sealed beam with H4 bulbs. It comes with relays, harness, zip ties, bulbs, and replacement glass housings. I am using Toyota of Fort Worth as they do flat shipping, and its $33 and change. Replaces the 7" sealed beams in a ton of vehicles including the RX7s. Just passing the information on. I remember Black Dragon offering a kit like this and it was $100+.

Ripped these images from an Ebay listing as the dealership doesn't post images.

That's a great deal, I'd jump on this if I didn't already upgrade them. An added bonus is they're probably DOT compliant. Lots of Amazon/eBay stuff is not.

Yeah, that is $33 shipped, I forgot to mention. Relays alone would be worth it, never mind the glass.

That’s incredible. My local, Spitzer Toyota in Monroeville PA has a set in stock and 10 in the warehouse. Picking them up tomorrow for $27.21 out the door. Thank you!!

This is a great deal.
Hella conversions from Summit are $100 per light now. I spent half that in 2020.
Putco relay harness is $50 on Amazon, so these are indeed worth it for wiring and relays alone.

Also noteworthy. The part number doesn’t specify, but it includes BOTH lights even though the box says quantity-1. Crazy good deal.

Nice deal. I did the black dragon setup and its still on there today. Although now I'm thinking about getting some H4 plug and play LED headlights. I've used these on another vehicle and they work great and don't require an extra driver box.

Does anyone who installed these lights have feedback or pictures?

I ordered it from a dealer through ebay but they cancelled my order, so before I go and order it again I'd like to hear/see what you all think...

Nice! That's a great deal, and I am fairly sure the original sealed beams were also made by KOTTO...

Do yourself a huge favor and get quality LED bulbs. Those cheap bulbs are... cheap. I had a set last 3 months. Ended up going GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0, but Morimoto also makes great bulbs. The price will shock you though, but buy once cry once.

I've had these on my kei van for a couple of years now with no issues.

Thanks for this "how to" guide. Between your details and the instructions that came with the headlight kit, I was able to get this replacement about 75% done this afternoon. The wiring harness that comes with the headlight kit is WAY too long for my 1980 SA, so the 25% of the job remaining to do is routing, wrapping and securing all the extra wire. But the lights ops-checked OK, so am pretty psyched with these new and improved headlights.

Due to a "clerical error" on my part, I ended up ordering two complete kits from Toyota. So I have an off-the-shelf kit, unopened, available for $30 to anyone that wants it.
