Is he here?
My dad sold his 79 RX7 to a major RX7 NUT, or at least that is what my mom said. It was gray when he sold her, had a 4 barrel carb, I can't remember much else. I think the guy came all the way from somewhere in Virginia, but I could be wrong. The car was sold out of Pennsville, NJ, probably over 10 years ago

It was not in Virginia, it was Williamstown, NJ, and she believes the car had a manual transmission. I didn't get a chance to talk to my dad today.

Have him look at his vehicle records or call his car insurance / bank to get the vin from old records. Then run it in carfax etc to see where last registration / service / crash was.

For what it's worth, nearly all the cars had 4-barrel carbs and 5-speeds. They also came in 3-4 major trim levels, depending on the year, without a lot of unique options otherwise. This basically means that for any given configuration of a car, there were thousands made, of which only a small percentage are on here. It's still worth looking, but you need the VIN.

Yea was not picking on you but simply thinking about the numbers involved.
But I bet there are less than 100,000 still road worthy. It would be interesting to know how many are totaled out.
There are ways to find out exactly who owns it.
