I've always though the R35 was fugly. Not that the earlier GT-Rs are particularly attractive, either, but at least they don't have a huge *** and a face like a fish.

it's people like you who give us a bad name. The GTR is a great car, I love my 7 and all but damn, some of you need to get off of your high horse and give respect where it is due. You build something that looks as good, goes as fast, stops and handles as well, and has the daily driving manners of a GTR then you can talk down on it.

It actually is. The launch control that killed the transmission dropped hte clutch at 5500 rpm in an AWD car with sticky tires to propel it, in full 3,800+ pound trim it to 60 in 4.6 secs. That reaks havok on gears. The idiots who did that over and over to impress their friends gave t a bad name, same story with our beloved icon Rx-7, the FD. I mean it's not perfect, but for people on here tob e talknig about a modern 78K dollar supercar like it's junk compared to something from the 80s that sells for $4000 in excellent condition, it's a bit ridiculous.

I agree wholeheartedly (and trying not to seem argumentative), but the GTR is something I just can't stand.
$18000 for a hole in the bumper
Engine out and disassembled service at 60k
Not changing fluids immediately after leaving a track is a voided warranty
Driver is basically passenger
etc etc
Not bagging on you, but I wouldn't move if the GTR guy asked (I know the shop guy did, so it's ok in my book)

I'm with Stu, I wouldn't want a GTR if it was given to me. At $78,000 for a high maintenance testosterone advertisement, it's a complete waste of money.
Chris makes the point perfectly:

The SE costs 20 times less money to buy (Chris' math), costs way less to insure, has a rotary engine and is more fun to drive and maintain (ie, you can do it yourself rather than subcontracting GTR technicians at $250 an hour).
Of course if you are into glamor and all that spending and wasting money might be a good thing, I don't know.
