Don Sherman is the renowned technical editor of Car & Driver magazine in the 1980s, rising to full editor before leaving the magazine for years only to return in 2011. He shares very personal and historic memories of the Mazda rotary cars with which he was intimately associated with in competition events.

My favourite is the five hours he spent at the wheel of a Racing Beat Rx7 in the 1979 24 Hours of Daytona, he lost his hearing for two days!!!!!!!!!!
