I guess i need to know which kind to just pour in the tank and be done with it. Its fine now and do not wanna create a problem. Hep a ignorant brutha out man. I do like eazy pezy japenezy. Ya see what I did der? If u know sum n and don't tell me shame on u. It is my dd so do not wanna mess up as I do like to drive places. PLEASE HELP DAMITMAN!!!!!!!!!! And let's keep it simple as to why I'm on non-tech. Dem tech guys scare me. Lol. OR--should i leave good nuff alone--And for those that don't get humor forgive me and move right along.

I'm not sure what language that is but SEAFOAM's name is universal on the can that it comes in.

Our stock motors don't require any special high octane or booster to run well. Since my rotary's only see occasional, recreational use, I shy away from ethanol due to its tendency to attract mosture. I just run non-ethanol regular which is becomming hard to find. I do however add a few ounces of seaform to my tank on a regular basis. In addition to cleansing the engine internals its also a fuel stablizer to help keep the fuel better, longer and keep gunk inside the tank from becomming a problem. I haven't tried it yet, but Stabil makes a new 360 stablizer that they claim helps to protect not only the fuel but also the exposed inner surfaces of the tank which are not emmersed in liquid.

Lucas E-85 ethanol treatment is good stuff. in a green bottle, cant miss it on the FLAPS shelf. my buddies running RZR's offroad swear by it, keeps fuel from foaming and eliminates hard hot restarts. keeps the ethanol from it's usual separating after a months time or so, and from collecting water when it does.

Thanks bruthas. I just kept reading too many opinions on sea foam. Mostly good but some apparently had problems wit it. The language the techs have is one that is Greek to lil ole dumb me. The other dudes got my jest. Thanks again as I run to autozone before it gets 115 out der.

Fuel additive? Like an octane booster? No, because 87 octane runs best as is. Um, premix? That's what everypone else adds, whether needed or not. I don't bother with premix on any of my stuff.

Or how about Heet? or Iso Heet?

Maybe MMO? I understand it's good stuff.

Most of those fuel system cleaners don't even work. If you have say an Injector issue no intake cleaner is going to remedy that. You either have to hook up an actual Injector flush machine like (motorvac, terraclean, BG) or remove them and send them out. Again with a Carburetor an additive isn't going to remedy anything, still have to remove it and fix whats wrong.
Also Ethanol is added to fuel to boost Octane rating, it also ABSORBS water. Thats what its purpose is...also it does not seperate from water. The only way to remove water from Ethanol is by distillation..and even though Ethanol evaporates around 78°C it still does not like to seperate from water they will both evaporate together. It takes at least 5-6 distillations to remove most of the water and at least 20 distillations for "absolute ethanol"

Not trying to boost octane Do research on the new sta-bil 360. Add to fuel tank and says does more than all the other additives. Including on carbs. this stuff is new as its not in any parts stores around me. Tell me opinion on that. I figured it couldn't hurt. For$9 I figured wth. It's only money lol

Yeah they say they work because they want your money. I've tested them on several different cars of mine. Some brands (STP or Pennzoil I think) helped increase fuel economy while it was in the tank thats it. I also tried that new Eco Green fuel additive that claims on the bottle up to 10% increase and it didn't do ****. This was in my 2008 Mazda 3. In my MX6 I regularly used Pennzoil octane booster and an STP fuel system cleaner. Only the octane booster gave a noticeable change. There was no noticeable difference from using the fuel system cleaners.

Now I also didn't check before and after on the MX6. I'm sure those cleaners would probably help with gum or varnish but nothing more than that.
On the same car it failed etest, marginally.I tried "Guaranteed To Pass" which is another fuel system cleaner. Followed the instructions on the bottle and re tested the car there was no significant change on the emissions results.
Maybe theres some that actually work but I haven't got any good results with the ones ive used.
My answers are based on experience, I've also had conversations with technicians with more experience than I and they agree.

With all the new tech we have- one would think sum 1 would get lucky and stubble Upon sum n that actually works That's why I wanted to try the NEW stuff. It's only 8 dollars and I really was wanting to give the clean the gas tank part of it out--as in the damage that's prob already in there. If it does anything else they claim-- right on. But then again it is the NEW stuff. Have u given it a try? I'm all on board with all the other stuff being crap but this seems to be new. We shall see.

Guess I'll put this here and not start a new thread. Made my bi-weekly trek to auto zone today and heard the guys up front going on and on about the clean looking Porsche out front. Damitman--i thought they were talking about mine--til I get up front and realized they were ALL STILL looking at MY car lol. I had to set em straight and told em about the win streak these lil gems had over the Porsches of that day. Then half the store empties out to check out my little ride as I buy 5 quarts of oil. I don't even bother to tell em (I'm not changing my oil) as this little biatch luvs the siht --Why kill the dream for em right. Lol. As they circle the car one of em chimes in 85 right? I say no man 82- then I see the look of confusion on his face and I knew he had saw my INCORRECT imsa sticker --then I had to explain the damn unicorn sticker situation to him as that sticker is the proof that these cars did indeed whip porches *** and no1 can find these stickers ANYWHERE and i just wanted the damn sticker Hahaha. Ya see that's why u prob would be better off getting the year sticker of ur car. No1 knows this stuff but us-and I don't see any of y'all anyway.
