Is this a first gen rx-7?

So I was going through an old family photo album and found this photo. It was my first cousins 4th birthday party, it was 1982. Her mom (my aunt) always used to make us cool cakes for our birthdays, and she would always get real photos of stuff for inspiration to make the cake. My cousin always liked cars so her mom decided to make her a car cake.

The second I saw the photo I immediately made the connection in my head.

What do you guys think?

It is indeed an SA ('79-'80) Rx-7 Cake Pan
.
I, myself, have two of them for a double layer job!
.
These cake pans show up every now and again on eBay.

So I asked my aunt and she said she bought a cake pan for that cake. So I did some searching and found this:
