Werd! I love it so much, I actually agreed to co-chair the local region's autox program this year. So far, I'm not sure they're gonna let either one of us step down for a while. All we get is praise from the rest of the crew. Who'da thunk a couple rotorheads would ever win everyones approval?

It's looking like I will be upgrading to coilover front, and 350F 200R springs. I found a deal too good to pass up, and my old ST springs are getting a little low in the ride height area.
Oh, and I scored another 1st place CSP trophy yesterday. Only 2.5 seconds behind 1st in BSP, and BSP was all boosted with either race rubber or AWD. I gotta say, the river of rainwater runoff crossing the course twice made for some pretty interesting low water crossings. I came out sideways, a couple times......

Thanks Kentetsu. It was a little iffy on even getting the event started. The day began nice and warm, sunny, and just a hint of a cloud. About 9:30 am, the sky opened up, and poured rain out sideways for about an hour and half. Time the rain stopped, cones were floating downstream, and blowing back upstream. Temp had dropped about 25 degrees to a rather chilly when wet 62, especially with the 25 mph breeze.
After we dried out, and got some warm food in our bellies, we went about gathering up the cones, and setting up the course, again. I have no clue what the original course plan was, but we had to cross the river kwai, twice, without a bridge in sight. The water was running just deep enough that everytime a car went thru, the water splashed much higher than rooftops. Most of the verts left the top up, to stay a little drier. That tactic was abandoned pretty quick, as the temp quickly rebounded into the upper 80's, and humidity around 2000%. Waterproof sunscreen was very much needed, and none to be found.
We got the first car out on course around 1 pm, and managed to get the event over with by 5:30 pm. This was our first time to run at the local dragstrip, and aside from the untimely powerwash of the parking lot, everything went rather well. I can see us having many more events there in the near future, and possibly for some time to come.
The track owner showed up just as we were getting the last runs in, so we sent him out for a few fun runs. Judging by the huge grin he had, I think he was pleased.
I don't mind running autox in the wet, but this one was more like a rallyx. Hit the river crossings too fast, and lose more time than crossing it at a snails pace. Even the Evo and STI's had issues there. That BP 20B Miata suffered from some minor ignition errors after a couple passes thru, requiring a quick dry off so it could get above 3K again. I bet it woulda made for pretty light show, had it been dark.....

Here's an in car video taken from the event. This was one of the last runs of the day. The silver FC (TII) seen at the end took 1st in BSP, and is just blocking the view of my car. That'll give you an idea what it was like ~6 hours after the rain stopped falling. The river was finally starting fade to a slow trickle by this time.
