Disc Brake Caliper Lube

I am rebuilding the front calipers on my 1980 SA and wanted to find out what lubricant I should use on the sliding pins. Nothing mentioned in the FSM.
Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Thanks,
Jim

They make lube specific for brakes. Because the slide pin on the SA is exposed, that is what I used. For the FB slide pins that have a boot, I just use bearing grease.

My calipers have boots so bearing grease should work.

Thanks for the replies.

I’ve used napa sil-glyde for a bunch of my disc brake jobs over the years. Going to try sta-lube next. Helps to have the higher temp rating than what normal bearing grease provides.

I also just use regular old Brake Caliper Grease from the local auto parts store. Works fine for me.
