Ive just started playing around with plasti dip. I tried painting the front fender of one of my motorcycles with the black....

I was hoping it would be more forgiving than paint and cover minor flaws better, but it does not. So the better you prep, the better it will turn out. I mean if you have a really nice paint job to dip over, it will look great but then why would you use it...(except of course to have fun with new colors, etc! so theres that)

The colors come out flat...They sell a glossifier but I haven't tried it yet. I want to try some "metallizer" to add some silver flake to my motorcyle's flat black....

I do plan to bomb my FB with it, probably the black. I am not one for appearances. Honestly, I can barely afford to have the FB at all. Im a working man who is spread to thin...don't get me wrong, I have alot of junky old toys, but Im never going have the money to pay for a legit paint job..besides it has some rust issues...so instead of the faded purple and black primer that my FB wears right now, I am going to go with the stealth black, after sanding it down and doing the body work to it.

I thought of red, or maybe the bright green, but I don't want to make some punk kid think my little old Mazda is worth stealing, or draw too much attention to myself. I live in a crappy neighborhood and I can't make the 4 mile commute to work without passing by 4 or 5 squad cars. (They distribute the police resources based on number of 911 calls in a given area)

There was a time years ago that I painted a euro style racing stripe on my '86 Ford escort as sort of a joke...(It was a free car I got from my nephew-the motor blew up on him and I rebuilt it..but it already had chrome rims) As soon as I painted that stripe on it, I got pulled over every other day! LOL!!! And I kept getting harassed by the Honda kids. But I digress....
