I reckon you were showing what it's suppose to come out looking like, I saw that car that's what made me decide to bring my SA back to it's original color, the thing is it will be done at home

 

I kinda like the brown but mine is black

when changed to black it was done very thoroughly

going back to blue had to be even more thorough

oh yeah the right clear coat surely helps

It was figured out by a buddy that retired from being the head painter at a very large body shop at a dealership. The clear I had was the wrong one for the current temps and it was resulting in the clear nearly drying as I sprayed it on, am I annoyed about all the time I wasted and car is not right, damn straight I am, live and learn right

 

I love the daytona blue. That's the color of my car.

it's something they used to do back in the day, a touch of retro plus helps when the Vegas sun is beating lol

 

Vinyl roofs were the shizz back in the 70's & into the early 80's. Both of my first two cars had 'em. Very period-appropriate!

Well who ever did it prior covered 99% of the blue, yes I did and yes it was, but it's not good enough so I will be re-doing it. For now I am just driving it
