Question Dash and Steering Wheel Removal???

I want to take my steering wheel off and replace it with the same one (just not torn) and i want to take my dash off and fill, sand, pain it cuz of the cracks.

anyone have a diagram or know how to get the top dash part off?

and what tools i need to get the wheel off? my friends shop took the spare one off that im going to put on mine but they are 45mins away and will prolly charge me...would like to do it myself. i know there are some tools invovled.

now that i looked. i see no archives or threads for pre 84 dash removal. just a bajillion on 84-85 dash removal which doesnt help as it is one piece... may just have to figure this out myself. look to be just a bunch of screws and wires.

well i got all the bolts off nuts off and the dash was coming off and i was happy. then as i was pulling it off it wouldnt budge around the gauges. and i think there are a few more under there but thats alot of wires i dont want to sort though to find hidden bolts and nuts. but luckily theres enough space now to tape off so i can sand and repaint the dash.
