You'll note that the vehicle registration history report for that $13,000 "Mint" (but with rebuilt motor?!?) car with "14,000 miles on it" shows the actual mileage was in fact 114,104 in 2001, and 115,796 in 2006.

It also says registration claimed that the odo "exceeded mechanical limits" by 1992. mech limits on an FB are 999,999 miles... yet in 2001 it suddenly properly displayed 114,104.

The dash picture shows 114,717 miles.

It's a nice car, but not $13,000 nice when it's not in fact "all original."

The seller seems to think that installing a reman motor = resetting miles to zero.

The air cleaner intake's busted, too.

My original 83 is very similar but a bit rougher. I was showing my girl this about a week ago to show her what a good deal I got.

LOL

First of all, the leather seats in that 83 are not original. They are 84-85 style, and the leather door inserts have been added, not original. My 83 TII FB has less miles than that, is in nicer shape, and makes a hell of alot more horsepower. I would be scared to ask 10k for mine

But, I look at it like this. If some mooron will give 13k for that one, maybe I should put mine up 15k

prices are going up and the lower mileage cars will command a premium. i don't believe that these prices will necessarily reflect an upcoming market however.
