Car value

Why are some 1st gens selling for $6-8k and others for $2-4k but seem in similar condition? How can I determine how much mine is worth?

Some are more rare, less miles, parts and extras, could be anything really. But hey a 1st gen is worth way to much to be selling it anyways so whats it matter LOL. I see your in NC you should check out the SE section I77&I40 Crossroads rotary meet and come to the meet in mooresville tomorrow.

I can get some pics up tomorrow. 67,000 miles, Body is nearly flawless, Paint is 2 year old Viper GTS blue with flakes (originally light blue) , seats are being proffesionally re-upholstered, carpet is still nice, does not have a radio, replacing cracked dash with new, louvres are a little faded but not bad, has new clutch master and slave cylinders, pilot, thowout, and input shaft bearing replaced, new ball joints and tie rod ends, new 2.5" exhaust, new cap and rotor, new plug wires, new belts, factory a/c, the body and rims are all stock.

3-4k my guess without seeing pictures if you fix dash and put a stock radio back in.

Should have no problem selling that. Can always start a little higher than lower price.

A car repainted differently from the original color will bring in less money, unless the car was stripped to a bare chassis. I say that because buying a car that has a different color engine bay, door jams, and what not is a huge turn off.

It depends on the quality of the paint. But yes to be a primo repaint everything would have to be done and the finished judged by .. well by it's quality and lack of defects. But stock colors are boring and if your going to repaint it there are so many cool colors that the chicks will dig and get the looks.
