Car Alarm Recommendation

The best thing I've found in stopping someone from driving away with my car is a fuel pump switch. Tap into the positive line running to the fuel pump and put a hidden switch somewhere. If you go with a car alarm, put this in as a secondary means of protection. It's easy and only cost a few bucks. Another way is it remove the rotor from under the distributor. It can be a pain to have to remove and put back in, but it works.

This is a very informative site when it comes to car security.
He discusses what works and what doesn't.
He also tells you what alarm systems are good, and which ones aren't.
You would be surprised though at some of the things he brings up.
Like cars wired up at Best Buy and places like that have a uniform way of wiring the cars, and so if you know how they wire them ( easily found wires grouped under the dash), it is easy to disarm them.
An alarm system worth purchasing has only a few key sensors, a lot of things expensive kits include are worthless or not that important, just bells and whistles.
