Can I use these rims on my SA

https://www.carid.com/advanti-wheels...-17261313.html

I REALLY like these rims, they are light weight and look amazing
It says Ithey don't fit my car , but they DO fit a Miata with big brake mods, what gives?

I didn't see any specs on that wheel but an SA wheel spec is a 4 x 110 bolt pattern and NA/NB Miata is 4x100. Those look like a five lug wheel. There are only a couple of options for wheels for an SA or FB.

It says these wheels come in 17"-22". They will not fit a factory configuration, let alone they are five lug.

Using the sites "Configurator" says these wheels will not fit.

I like the style though.

Oops , I showed a 5 bolt one . Heres the 4 bolt . I Did a bit of research , the smallest size is 15" with a 4x100 configuration . SA are 4x108 . Can't I use a one inch Adaptor ?

SA's are 4x110 as are FB's. If you want to use adapters that's your choice. If they are 4x100 that opens up a lot of wheels made for Miata's and Civics.

I'd save up some dough and see if I could find a set of used CE28Ns. They might seem expensive, but they're the wheels Advanti is trying to make knock-offs of, but they're the forged Real Deal.

Do it right and do it once. Here's a set of 15" 4x108s, so they definitely exist.

They cost around the same 520 to 550. The Avanti rims are frequently used by miata Rallycross guys . I'm Just sick of my stupid konig 5 spoke rims . They look like the generic 5 spokes in Granturismo 1-2 ( the ps1 game)

Are adapters safe ? I'm assuming they are as wide body guys use 2-3 inch spacers

The Volks are 500 APIECE. Here's a pretty cool vid of the manufacturing process at RAYS (Volk).
Advanti doesn't make em like this.

Adapters are Ok for diving around the street, but 1" is a lot and driving hard or hitting potholes will cause extra stress on the rest of the suspension, like CV joints, bushings, etc. If you're buying new wheels, it's best to get a set that fits your car properly.

Konig Rewinds are a great option. No spacers needed.

Quality wheels are better for sure. I've seen too many people cracked cheapo Chinese wheels.

Extreme adapters can be problematic especially in cases where the center line is not matched to the original center line. However if you do your homework and keep the center line the same there is no additional wear on any component. The additional wheel spacer merely acts like a two piece wheel.

To answer your question- you can't, really. 4x110 is an oddball bolt pattern. You aren't going to find but a few wheels that will match the bolt pattern, save for getting completely custom wheels.

The other option is 4x108 wheels, with wobble bolts and hub-centric rings. 4x108 is a fairly common bolt pattern, even used on the Fox Mustang. However, many are skeptical about the strength of wobble bolts when put under the pressure of hard driving (racing).

That said, custom wheels are an option, and not necessarily an expensive one. Several racing wheel companies will make wheels with a 4x110 bolt pattern, in whatever size and offset you want. My car currently wears Diamond Racing wheels, in a 15x8 0 offset all around.

Do you plan on racing or are you just looking for looks? That will make a big difference on what direction you should go.

Haha thanks, I was referring to my current rims, which are Konig . I cant seem to find them on the internet at all . If I get new rims im going to restore those by sanding and polishing them and using silver powder coat. Then selling them to some lucky bastard who wants lightweight 5 spoke rims.

I doubt it, you would hit the limits of the spring compression before getting that close to the edge of the fender. Mine rubbed because I cut the RB springs by a coil which allowed the spring to compress shorter on hard corners.

Rotawheels These guys make some nice knockoffs of old school classics. Im guessing they arnt forged though - but paying through the nose for forged wheels for a 30-40 year old cheap sportscar with pressed steel suspension and live axle kinda seems overkill imo lol.

I have those wheels with the silver centers on my moonbeam silver SA. They look sweeeet. You can get em on Amazon for about $105.00. The tires cost more than the wheels, no joke.

u

I want the ones in the picture with the chrome/ polished lip . I hope the tires on my current Konigs fit. I can't find any info on my current rims . I'm probably going to powder coat them silver after I strip them and fill in / sand out any dips. They look like **** but they are very very light and might look good fixed up . I can't find any info on them. I only know they are konig because of The caps
