Blue Mazda factory gauges on Group B rally car: where are they from?

I have never seen the blue Mazda gauges found in this Group B rally 1st gen anywhere. Anyone have any idea where these came from? I'd love to have a set of these for my project.

RX-7 Boutique has Mazdaspeed '99 Spec RX-7 ones. Pretty similar.

I've seen those in JDM magazines. This is similar, but not the same. The ones I refer to have the Mazda logo (not Mazdaspeed). I've scoured my Japanese sources and have come up with nothing. I'm thinking that they are some old-school MFR option in Europe...the car was originally built there.

So made by VDO for MFR? Or a custom thing?

well, i can't say for sure, but that would be my guess. i know VDO had it hands in with several manufacturers back in those days. it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine Mazda would have used them for race cars - particularly such a large venture as Group B.

it might be a good idea to maybe poke around on one of the Aussie rotary sites and see if any historians there can give you the answers you seek.
