to all who are not familiar with the Leather Sport, this was a vehicle only produced in 1980, bearing one of three colors, brilliant black, aurora white, or solar gold. there were 1000 brilliant black, 1000 aurora white, and 500 solar gold LS's produced. all LS's came with the solar gold painted wheels and a full size spare with teh same paint scheme. the LS was based on the GS sunroof model. i have a very nice solar gold LS with 61K original miles and the car is in excellent condition. there are only a handfull of LS owners here. i believe we have five or six. if there are more LS owners here, they are not speaking up, lol.

Thanks Dave.

lilbluescout63 - Please do post pics of your LS when you have the time. If I make it into heaven I'm sure that one of the first questions I'll ask about the universe will be "how many Leather Sports survive?" and "Can I see 'em?"

What color is yours? How's the interior holding up? I have found that both the LEXOL branded leather cleaner and leather conditioner are great for keeping the leather seats looking new.

to me prersonally, an LS's worth sepends on its originality and its condition. i've seen them go for as low as $500 in fair shape to as much as $4500 in really nice shape with low miles.
