Hi everyone, I have an 84 gsl-se in persimmon red metallic and has a grey and black interior. I've heard that this is a more rare color combination and was wondering if anyone knows the number of these that were made

 

Royal Maroon color code 3A was the rarest of the 1984/1985 colors. It's not even listed as an option but was available. The mirrors where also painted in that version.

i had one that color, i really like it. Mr REPU has a good point, i'm not sure i've seen one in this color that wasn't painted mirrors. somewhere i have a set of NOS mirrors (i got every painted color that was available in 1998)

you should thank whatever deity you like that its 3A with grey interior, and not red leather like mine was. its too bad mine got totaled, i've got a complete grey interior for it!

 

Looks like R7 is another rare color only available in 1984.

The 3A, Royal Maroon, was a little more rare because it could not be ordered. Dealers only got two, one with leather and one with cloth.
