anyone know 31rx7 ?

im trying to get ahold of him. i purchased his old red 85 GS from the guy that bought it from him.

main reason is to figure out if i have a SP motor or not. in his posts on the forum its says the car has a stock port rebuild but it def. sounds like a SP motor. ive even tried adjusting the mikuni and it still has a lumpy idle and really quick throttlev response

and way to tell with the motor in the car? can i pull the exhaust and intake mani off and take a look?

Thats a nice car. I bought some wheels off of him a few years ago and met him at an autocross over in Columbus OH. I pretty sure its a stock port. The combination of a mikuni and whatever the timing is set to will make the idle seem lumpy until you get on it. Lareg 2 barrels kind of run like that. I have a Dellorto and its a similiar setup with a bit of a lumpy idle down low. I'm pretty sure its stock port.

If you ever want to make the drive, come on over any second Sunday for our meets. We have a thread going for it in the SE section. I'd like to see that car again. It was a clean car for up in ohio.
