couple of observations.

notice in the close ups how the paint has quite a bit of orange peel? this is correct. however the body should be arrow straight.

i do see that the spark plug wires are the originals, and the AC pipe is undamaged, so the clutch is probably the original (the dashpot dents the pipe when the trans comes out), the hose clamps are the originals too.

the gauge needles are orange from the factory, and are the first thing to fade, so this car is nice, but it has been out in the sun enough to fade the needles, and the door panels are starting to turn as well.

the wheels are polished, which is incorrect.

so the car looks well presented, and seems to be a really nice well maintained car.

The pics make it look mint but it is not. It does look nice though. Hate what they did to the wheels. They look bad. There's no pic of the drivers seat bolster. Bet it's cracked.
Also it's hard to see chips and dings but they are there.

the charcoal canister and A/C hard pipes have been painted black, and the routing of the cruise control cable is also off.

nice car though, looks like its had a sheltered life

Sometimes when the original wheels are in bad shape, not much you can do besides polishing them out to make them look good again.

As nice as it looks, I would never buy a car from pictures alone. Gotta see it in person.

Where in the engine bay is this AC pipe that gets damaged when the trans in dropped?

It's also spent part of its life in Puerto Rico according to the title.

the dashpot hits it, so on the firewall right behind the throttle body

Did these cars come with orange peel from the factory? I know black is the hardest color to paint, but that seems a bit excessive.

So I went and looked at my engine bay, and sure enough! there were those dents in the AC pipe you talked about. So I know my Clutch has been replaced (at least once!).
You learn something new everyday!

I've noticed a slight uptick in asking prices for low mile 7's lately. 10-15K is slowly becomming more common. It's not the big shock it was just a couple years ago.

$11,201 final bid. No way to tell if it ever popped the reserve once the auction ended.

Not quite the inflation-adjusted "New" price for the car, but a respectable showing.

True; Once up in the 5-figures zone, even I might find myself tempted in weak moments.
