Aftermarket 1st Gen Hood Wish List

Working with a local firm interested in making an aftermarket hood for our 1st Gens. So, thought I'd put it out there for everyone to list their wish/wants/needs list. I'll start with a couple I'm aware of.

1. TII type hood scoop for TII retrofits into 1st Gens.
2. Air scoop functionality for the GSL-SE such as Mariah has in their NACA Duct Hood
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Are they only offering fiberglass or carbon also? I would like just a stock look but lighter. I can make my TII fit just want to light.

This one, scoop is from a early Fox body follows the FB hood perfectly and allows for a lot of airflow

Front bumpers. Check out the on on my car in my Avitar. Sold by Extreme Dimensions.

I'm a big fan of the Mariah NACA Hood. Very clean and functional for the 1st Gen. Heck, I'd just buy a used on if one were available for less than the typical 1st Gen market value for the whole car.

But I'm more interested in all those thoughts on this subject others have had.

I would buy your front in a HEART BEAT if only they didn't screw us over by making the kit so you have to buy the sides and rear for the lines to align up. When I bought my original kit from Erebuni Corp was there last front, it lined right up with the stock sides of the car wonderfully because I really didn't want side skirts. Even the rear skirt lined up as well. Unfortunately just adding your front gives a very large drop and doesnt look any good without the additional sides :/ They would sell a lot more if they didn't do it that way.

Vented hood. Something that actually extracts some heat. I'd actually like to see two versions of a Turbo II style hood. One with the scoop placed for the TMIC of the 13B Turbo and one with the scoop feeding into the Carb for NA guys. Also, moldless urathane bumper covers

I saw a goal for a hood that looks like this

Kind of like the FC's "Sexy Hood"

Thanks those bumpers were sweet. I was thinking about the hood and it would be cool to see just a small TII style scoop more twords the turbo. Maby 6" wide. Could they do some flush mount headlights like the FD style with the 2 lights in it.

Maybe a nicely louvered CF hood, with a colored weave?

I'm putting in a FMIC, so a scoop is pointless.

So am I the scoop is more for heat transfer (lower intake temps means more power) pluse fresh air for your turbo

Anybody ever considered a deep, high-bypass hood? vents radiator air up and out?

Not for me, but some like that look. I think the last Mustang Concept had one. You'd have to use an electric fan with it, though.

Something like this hood? It looks nice but I would rather a CF OEM looking hood thats double sided, not an over lay.
