Are the plugs out? If not, that sounds like low compression.

Plugs are in.

Low compression was the call by the mech (12 psi).

It had been sitting for sometime.

Someone suggested the MMO treatment. Thought I'd give it a try.

Now I know; or can assume.

Thanks!

Meaning, rebuild?

Let's hope the other engine is an easily fixable coolant issue.

It drives and has good compression.

You can take the exhaust manifold off and try to inspect the rotor seals. If they are intact, you can try working them back and forth if they are stuck. Otherwise, yes, a rebuild would be in order. You would need to tear down the engine and inspect the parts. The biggest being the rotor housings and if there is chrome missing.

Thank you.

Sounds easy enough.🤭

Can I do that inspection without an engine hoist?

It's easier to inspect if you take the intake/carb off also. It's still a tight fit and you might need to use a mirror.
