83 tach and battery gauge quit

Need info on any suggestions for the tach/battery gauges quit working all of the sudden....working perfect yesterday, and not today....thanks i'll n advance

Check the alternator connections.

tach gets its signal from the trailing coil. mine quit last weekend so i just moved that wire over to the leading coil. now i need to dig out an old spare and hope it's not the ignitor that's quit working.
