83 Mazda Rx7
Hey wuts up ppl.
im on the verge of buying an 83 rx7 with 130k the price for it is 1500
te car is original from florida so the car has no rust , the whole car is stock.
i got to drive it last night , very diffrent from the 13b. but im just looking for a car to chill with this summer , and i figure if i get this 7 that i wouldnt want to beat on it like a honda, but now there more maintained more . but i would love to have this car for the summer. there just something bout classic cars and summer that just fits . I did own a 89 13b rx7 last summer so do know bout rotorys but that one was fuel injected. Well it be great to hear from other owners and give me some ideas or just info on these cars .
thank you all .

I love the 1st gens.
The 12a's are lil kickers for 90hp, spirited driving on the freeway I got about 25mpg (A lot of WOT) a full tank lasts me pretty good.
I have a 85 one though, but it'd be mostly the same.
Change oil, hoses, filters, etc like normal and the 83 would be more reliable then the 89 you had
btw wrong section.

The dyno results I've seen for stock motors (check the dyno sticky on the main page) have been around 86HP at the wheels.
Certainly a great car and don't worry about the mileage, the 12A is practically bulletproof and will run twice that many miles if properly taken care of. Pull the storage bins and check the sheetmetal for rust. Even rain getting in there can rust them out. A few bucks well spent and they can be even more fun.
