the kid got tackled by a guy twice his size at least into the cement.
He got taken away by social services
both parents are in jail so that means foster care.
Trust me, his life just got all sorts of fucked up.

I am trying to feel for him, I really am. But I mean c'mon how often did we hear growing up "don't play with matches"

This reply is insanely late to your original post (since I was not on the forums then)
But viewing those pictures after the build up of reading all the blood-sweat-cash you placed into your beloved 7 actually caused me to weep.
For you, I will do everything in my ability to spread fire safety awareness in my area. I cannot fathom how I would feel if the hunk of metal and components that I call my lovely 7 were to rise into smoke.
The only thing that would run through my mind would be...
"You gotta choke that bitch the **** out"

It's been a long time. I hate to bring up old threads but I haven't been on this forum board is such a long time, it's stupid. not that It's a good excuse but something about reading about other peoples pride and joys just brought back bad memories of my own.
But I'm on here because the time has finally come to start looking for another gsl-se. My wife has had to listen to me constantly talking of how much I want another 7. Her family and my family have been slowly replacing all of my tools that I lost in the fire during xmas for the past few years. This year, my wife bought me an exact copy of the tool chest I had. I couldn't be more thankful to them.
So this year, my wife and I had our first daughter. And despite what I wanted to believe, and in the joy that I had holding my daughter for the first time, I saw in her eyes, a dream of mine die. Every parent worth anything makes sacrifices for their children. Mine was knowing that it's going to be a long time before I get a 7 again to have as a project car. I'll admit that all the man in me broke down at that point and tears of joy and sorrow ran down my face. My wife asked me what I was feeling. I told her that I'm excited about have our daughter but it just hit me that I have more important things than a dream of a 7 now but that I couldn't be happier for the reason. It's a dream that's just going to have to wait. She just smiled at me and said that maybe we have someone who will share that dream with me someday.
A few days later she asked me what I wanted to do with the 7. I went into a huge 2 hour long rant about everything that I'd do to the car. And that I now have the know how to do all the things I want to do. She told me that when I get the car I'd have to tear it all down and build it back up from nothing. And that it's going to be a several year long project. She kept talking about the car like it was something that we were going to get real soon. So I asked her why she was talking like that. At the sametime, I had one of those, O duh moments. She told me it's about time to get another one.
So all said and done, I;m looking for another gsl-se. It doesn't have to run but It'd like it to have a good body at least. Interior is second preference and running is last on the list. I have means to transport it a small distance(within a few hundred miles). Long distances, I'll make arrangements for. Let me know what deals are out there.
PS. Its good to be back.

Burnt 84 gls-se
Maybe the landlord has an insurance policy that will cover your loss. I have to repair a 84 gls-se which suffered an engine fire. I'd appreciate if anyone out there can help me find the parts to rebuild her.
Take care, Peter.

Hahaha, my girlfriends name is Savanna! No "h" on the end, but isn't that how they spelled it, without an "h"? The pics of your car won't load, can you post a couple back up so I can see the poor 7? I just lost mine on the 1st when I sadly flipped her over. It's the worst feeling in the world.........

double congrats on your daughter!!! if this helps at all, i have two kids, a wife, a mortgage, two car payments, and pay for the essentials such as utilities, food, and gas for the cars and i am the sole income..i'm not rich by ANY means..i make $20.84/hr or about 50K per year witha bit of overtime . my bills are paid on time..thanks to my wife...i have been restoring my second 7 since the birth of my daughter in 07. restoring a 7 can be done if the money is managed properly and patience is added. i have a feeling that your car capable of restoring a 7 with no problems. based on your determination for the 7 this is a project i see you being very successful at. when at the time of getting another SE or 7 of your chosing, you need any parts, feel free to pm me and i will help you as well. we're all a big rotary family.
