I'm pretty sure I've saw this car for sale a few times on eBay. Say's the winning bid was $8K, which really IMO, isn't that insane for the originality and condition. It's not often you see a set of red / wine window cranks that weren't faded. Plus the door panel looked factory fresh, the chrome strip is flawless. **** indeed!

If the new owner is lucky, the unwinding value of actually putting miles on it (currently 29K, which is presumably why it went for so much coin - in spite being an automatic!) might counter the slooow increase in value we are seeing in better SAs...

I wouldn't mind getting a nice minty auto for my wife. She likes my car a lot but doesn't really
like driving a stick that much.

Too bad this one is going overseas to Europe.

Hypothetically, If this were a right side drive RX-7 with roughly 30,654 kilometers, what would you pay? Automatic as well?

Hypothetically, it might depend on where it is and what shipping would cost.

I just picked up an 85 with 20k original miles. Stick shift GSL. Paid less than the one on BaT, but then again, it's not a first year or GSL-SE. Interior is pristine as expected with such low miles and exterior is in equally mint condition. However, it's still an old car. Needs new springs, drive shaft, and will eventually need ball joints and other stuff. I'm having a blast in it though and will like start swapping original parts for Racing Beat to bring it up to today's standards of "sporty". I'm not running a museum so the goal is for it to look original but perform better than original.
