Hey Chris - I'll definitely be sending some pictures your way. I just need to get out and get some good ones taken. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice weather and the car is freshly clayed and waxed, so hopefully I'll get them to you this weekend.

Heres the deal;

ALL PICS NEED TO BE IN BY SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH!!!!

I am calling the shop tomorrow for an updated price. I will report back ASAP. I am actually checking 2 or 3 places for a better price.

I will go through my emails and such this upcoming week and sort them out.

We will then have to figure out a voting system.

Please, take some more pictures and send them to me. They need to be HIGH RESOLUTION!!

MPK - Nope, I have your link. I can search through them and have other people search.

I'm going to have a thread for voting soon. I think I JUST have enough cars. I hope next year will be better with people submitting.

See, I had myself all set for a shoot. I'd picked the day, picked the spot, then my battery died as I drove to the shoot site.

So I replaced that, waited for the right day again, then someone rear-ended me as I was going to the shoot site.

So now I have a body that needs work and an uncooperative insurance company on the other side.

Next year, I get her in I think.

I'll still buy one.

Heres the deal;

As of October 31st, 2008, I have VERY FEW pictures of high quality.

I'm half tempted to just push this off and make a 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen calendar. That way, we have a whole message board contributing and we have more variation. 4 cars of each generation.

Being responsible for this, I want it to look professional. I don't want the pictures to be out of focus and not clear at all.

What do you guys think?

OK Chris...I can appreciate your situation and really appreciate you trying to put this together. On the other hand, we've heard very little from you. I submitted pictures about a month ago and really don't know if you've even seen them, let alone if they are "high quality" or not. I have more to submit, and would really like to see my car in the calendar, and frankly, would like to see it be just 1st gens. But we (I?) need a little feedback from you. OK?

Although I AM surprised that you haven't received many submissions from 1st genners...I know there are a lot of really nice 1st gens out there.

Thanks,
Rich

chris, can you confirm if you recieved my two 79 LE pics emailed to you a couple weeks ago and if they are considered HIGH QUALITY ? (rcarter@ _____) I did not recieve any confirmation , but you may have got spammed , as I sent from work .

they are in focus, standard 1.5 MB photos on a camera most people have . Maybe confirm if those are NOT high quality enough ?

Its obviously your call, and your effort, but I suspect the people who said they would buy the calander in this thread may not be expecting Professional show car photos. Just a clear shot, nice car, different cars , different settings . Thats what I'm after anyway .

Oh, and I too would like it kept to 1st gens .

OurXSeven -

I received your pictures. They are a tad bit grainy, but it should be okay. Since you guys mentioned that you don't expect high quality pictures, we can still give it a go if you all approve.

Rich -

I have received your pictures as well. They will deffinitely work. Sorry I didn't get back to you.

Heres what I will do either tonight or tomorrow morning;

I will put all of the pictures I received on a web site for people to see. If they are fine, we will go. Sound good?

No. It was just a suggestion. After going through all files and uploading them to THIS LOCATION;

http://shoandgo.com/gallery2/rx7_club_calendar

We may have enough to give this a go.

It will not be professional by any means, just because of some image quality issues. It will still be very nice, after all, it is all first gen's, haha.

UPDATE 11/1/08!!

You can still submit pictures! You have 14 more days! It will be ALL first gens!

I'll be posting an updated price Monday.
