NS 1985 Automatic

I am looking at an Automatic gen 1 for my wife. I have never read, seen, or driven one.
Is there anything I need to know as opposed to the standard version.
Weak points? knockouts??

I am pretty sure they existed. I saw one with auto and power steering on EBay a few months ago but I've never seen one in person. I assume the power steering pump was below the air conditioner compressor. Must be a pretty rare combination considering that automatic was rare and power steering was even more so. I wonder if you could fit the electric assist from an Rx-8?

I didnt have power steering in mine either. I did a rack conversion and am working on the power steering portion now. Would be nice to have in the car.

Automatic cars shift earlier and don't get reved as high in general. Plus, they tended to be owned by "more adult" types of drivers...They aren't as sporty to drive but if moma don't mind an auto should not present any specific or additional problems. in fact, the car could be in better condition because of it.
